Guided day trip to Taroudant and Tiout
Our tour of Taroudant and its oases begins with a pick-up in the morning (8:30 am), at the reception of your hotel or residence. Then first follow the road to Taroudant, also called mini Marrakech because it looks like Marrakech because of the ramparts that surround it. In the 1960s, the Saadi dynasty chose Taroudant as its capital before settling in Marrakech. Today the city is almost inside its ramparts unlike Marrakech. The city is now famous for local crafts and carpets and has the atmosphere of Marrakech. On the way before going to Taroudant, we will stop to take a nice photo of the flying goats (goats climbing the argan tree). Then continue to the old medina (old town of Taroudant). After we have finished our visit to Taroudant (mini Marrakech), we will continue to visit a very nice Berber village (30 km from Taroudant), where we will have a very good lunch then visit the palm grove and why not take a nice walk in donkey ride along the oasis, and of course not to miss a visit to the kasbah where the film Ali Baba and the 40 thieves was filmed in the 1950s. Expect to return to the hotel around 5 p.m.
